The Twin City Steel were happy to promote forward Trey Hughes of Lino Lakes, MN to Minot of the NAHL for practice this week.

Trey is Twin Cities leading scorer and Top 5 in the NA3HL with 39 points in 29 games played with the Steel this season.

“It was a good experience for me, very up tempo and tiring ha-ha, there are a lot of good players and you can't take a second off or your going to get passed and over-looked out there, I am very thankful for the opportunity the Steel and Minot gave me”

Trey replied.

“Trey has been one of the big batteries on our team all year. Guy's feed off his play, passion, and emotion for the game. He has been a leader all year long and deserved the opportunity to get a look with Marty out in Minot”

Coach Slagle replied.

Despite being one of the youngest teams in the league with only four veterans in the locker room, along with the up and down positions the Steel has had in the standings, in arguably the toughest division in the 3HL. The Steel are managing to promote their player's while having success at the same time. As a second year franchise the Steel are building a good reputation through-out the junior hockey world as a 1st class organization.
