ROMEOVILLE, Illinois-Goaltender Thomas Terrance made 32 saves as the Twin City Steel defeated the Metro Jets 4-3 Sunday night at Romeoville Rink 3.  This was the Steel’s third game, and victory, of the NA3HL Showcase.

The Jets got on the board first with a shorthanded goal from Kyle Downey at 8:27.  It appeared that the Jets were going to carry their lead into the second period.  With just five seconds to go in the period, Steel defenseman Mathias Ahman found the back of the net on the power play to tie things up.  Jace Childs and Alexander Konnov picked up assists on the goal.

The tables turned in the third period as the Steel dominated play.  At 2:16, Calvin Miska reduced the Jets’ lead with an even strength goal while Alexander Konnov and Jace Childs tallied assists.  Just over a minute later, Tyler Lodin lit the lamp on the power play to tie things up at three goals apiece.  Mathias Ahman and Jace Childs were credited with the assists.  Calvin Miska recorded his second goal of the night to seal the deal at 4-3.  Jace Childs picked up his fourth assist of the game, while Isaac Hale tallied the second assist.
