Metro boosted by Limburg’s play in net, beats Twin City 2-1

Metro relied on the sparkling performance of Kameron Limburg in net to grab a 2-1 win against Twin City.

Metro was led by Cam Schwartz, who racked up one goal and one assist. Schwartz scored 12:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Metro. David Chavis provided the assist.

Metro\’s offense operated below its season average. Metro averages 4.5 goals per game.

Metro also got a goal from Devin Kelly as well. More assists for Metro came via Jacob Gleason, who had one.

Twin City was led by Nick McKeeby, who scored the team\’s only goal. McKeeby scored on the power play 7:53 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Twin City had gotten the advantage when Metro\’s Jacob Drinkard was sent off for elbowing. Joe Costello picked up the assist.

Limburg rejected 27 shots on goal for Metro. Metro incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gunnar Howg recorded 21 saves for Twin City. Twin City incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
