NATHAN SICLOVAN, NEW ULM SHUTS OUT ALEXANDRIA

New Ulm scored one goal in each period to defeat Alexandria, 3-0. Nathan Siclovan got the shutout for New Ulm, making 26 saves. New Ulm outshot Alexandria 29-26.

Alex Nagel opened the scoring at the 7:25 mark of the first period. Fritz Belisle and Luc Kreuser were credited with the assists.

Belisle scored in the second period at 8:20 on the power play with assists from Steven Mordini and Nagel.

Jacob Padley scored an unassisted empty net goal with 40 seconds remaining in the game.

Alexandria’s goaltender, Michael Hughes, made 26 saves on the 28 shots he faced.

New Ulm totaled eight penalty minutes on four infractions and went 1-for-7 on the power play. Alexandria had a total of 14 penalty minutes on seven infractions and went 0-for-4 on the power play.
