SICLOVAN GETS HIS SECOND SHUTOUT OF THE SEASON AS NEW ULM DEFEATS WISCONSIN, 7-0

New Ulm scored seven goals against Wisconsin, with 13 players registering points. Nathan Siclovan made 26 saves to get the shutout. New Ulm outshot Wisconsin 52-26.

New Ulm ended the first period with a 4-0 lead. Luc Kresuer, Fritz Belisle, Alex Egle and Orlando Scherz each scored a goal in the first period. Alex Nagel, Nicholas Campbell, Bennett Witta, Jared Erickson and Vitaliy Nosov each tallied an assist in the first period.

Nagel scored the lone goal in the second period at 13:08 on the power play with an assist from Steven Mordini.

New Ulm started the third period with a 5-0 lead. Cory Martinez and Sam Wenner each scored a goal and Jacob Padley registered an assist in the third period.

Wisconsin’s starting goaltender, Alex Hufford, played the first period and made 16 saves on the 20 shots he faced. Max McConnell played the second and the third period and stopped 29 of the 32 shots New Ulm generated.

New Ulm had a total of 23 penalty minutes on 10 infractions and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Wisconsin totaled 16 penalty minutes on eight infractions and went 0-for-6 on the powerplay.
