Alexandria broke the 2-2 tie with a goal from Tosten Mann, assisted by Caleb Anderson and Dawson Ellingworth, at 10:12 of the third period. Alexandria was able to hold on to the 3-2 lead to win the game and take a 1-0 series lead.
Alex Bowe opened the scoring 9:27 into the first period to give Alexandria a 1-0 lead. Emil Lindfors and Josiah Roen were credited with the assists.
Dylan Leivermann, with assists from Cory Martinez and Jared Mickelson, got New Ulm on the board at the 9:49 mark of the second period to tie the game up at 1-1.
