The New Ulm Steel is proud to announce that defenseman Max Kjome has committed to play MCHC (ACHA Div-III) hockey at Lawrence Technological University.

“I chose Lawrence Tech because it’s a great university to further my education and continue my hockey career,” Kjome said.

Kjome, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, played for the Steel for two seasons where he tallied seven goals and 33 assists in 81 games played.

“I would like to thank the Steel organization for a great two years and the teammates I had during that time,” Kjome said.

Prior to his time with the Steel, Kjome captained the Minneapolis High School hockey team during the 2015-16 season, where he played in 27 games and registered 33 points.
