President/Owner – Steve Black

steveSteve is in his 4th year of ownership with the Steel Hockey Organization.  Steve is the current Vice President of Douglas Machine in Alexandria, MN.  He has been an avid hockey fan for over 20 years as both of his sons played growing up.  Steve has been married to his wife Becky for nearly 30 years.  They have two kids, Bryant (General Manager of the Steel) and Bennett (Personal Trainer for Lifetime Fitness).  When time permits you can find Steve on the golf course with his family.

To the fans: “We appreciate each and every one of you.  Without you the Steel would not be possible. We look forward to putting on a great show for you and seeing you at the rink as the Steel make a quest for the NA3HL Championship”

 


 

General Manager – Bryant Black

General Manager-Bryant BlackThe General Manager for the New Ulm Steel is Bryant Black.  Bryant received his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2010 and then later received his Master’s degree in Sport Management from Mankato in 2011. Bryant is in his fourth year with the Steel but this will mark his sixth season as part of the NAHL or NA3HL (spent 2 seasons within the Blizzard organization). Bryant in addition is the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Media and Content Manager – Erica Koehler

This is Erica’s second year with the Steel. She is also the media and content manager for the NA3HL’s Wausau RiverWolves, starting the 2017-18 season. She manages the Steel’s and the RiverWolves’ social media accounts and website content. Erica is attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication online pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies. In addition to working for the Steel, Erica is also a coach at the Mankato Figure Skating Club.

Advertising Sales Representative – Eric Gramentz

Eric has been a resident of New Ulm for over 30 years. He has an associate degree in Marketing and Sales Management and a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement. Eric has been with the New Ulm Police Department since 2004 and has been working in law enforcement for 18 years. He has two daughters in New Ulm youth hockey and is a billet family for the Steel. Eric is also a retired USA hockey referee with 18 years of experience.

Director of Corporate Sales & Security – Duncan Woodhull

IMG_5744This is Duncan’s 4th year with the Steel, but has been with Allegis Corporation for over 28 years as an accomplished Sales Executive with a proven track record of successful relationship selling in an engineering environment.

 

 

 


 

Director of Game Day Ticketing/Operations – Teri Woodhull

IMG_0398_(1)This marks Teri’s 4th year with the Steel. Teri plays an integral part of the Steels gameday setup and gameday logistics.  She, as well as her husband Duncan, are two of the first faces you will see when coming to a Steel game.  In addition to working with the Steel, Teri has spent nearly 30 years within the healthcare industry. 

 


 

Marketing/Community Relations Intern – Seth Suckow

This is Seth Suckow’s first year with the New Ulm Steel organization as a marketing/community relation’s intern. Seth Suckow is a fifth year student at Minnesota State University-Mankato and is working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media with a Public Relations emphasis. After graduating in Dec., Seth will continue to work with the Steel organization and hopes to one day work for the NA3HL or higher.

Marketing/Game Day Operations Intern – James McRae

James is originally from Guatemala. He moved to Apple Valley, Minnesota when he was adopted at the age of two. There he found the love of the game. James played for 12 years in the Apple Valley Hockey Organization. In high school, he played Junior Gold, winning state in 2012. After graduating high school, he went on to Minnesota State University, Mankato. James is a senior, majoring in sports management and minoring in marketing. This is his first year working for the Steel organization. James will be working on the marketing side of the organization, as well as working with the fans. He is extremely excited to learn the ways of the hockey world and start his career off on the right path.
