Steel's Noah Anderson Get's Opportunity at the Next Level


Twin City Defensemen Noah Anderson of Groveland New York, has been a wrecking ball for the Steel since his arrival. In just 16 games with the Steel this season Noah's stats have sky-rocketed. He has recorded 4 goals and has added 11 assists giving him 15 points on the season with the Steel. Nearly matching his point totals of all of last season.


The Weyburn Red Wings are a Tier II Junior A hockey team based in Weyburn, Saskatchawan, Canada, and currently play in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). They play their home games at the Crescent Point Place, which has a seating capacity of 1,750.


The team was created in 1961 and was named after the NHL's Detroit Red Wings. The team was one of the founding members of the Western Hockey League in 1966, but left in 1968 to return to the SJHL.

The team is the most successful in the league in terms of league championships won. They have won 8 SJHL championships in their history. They won it in 1970, 1971, 1984, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2001.

They also have promoted over 25 players onto the NHL.
