New Ulm and Wisconsin were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time and caused the game to head into overtime. Fritz Belisle, assisted by Alex Nagel, scored at 2:34 into overtime to get New Ulm the 3-2 win.   

Tim O’Connor opened the scoring for New Ulm. His goal was assisted by Luc Kreuser at 10:17 into the first period. New Ulm ended the first period with a 1-0 lead.

Wisconsin’s two goals of the game were both scored in the second period. Clayton Brown, with assists from Matt Resch and Taylor Dickert, scored at 5:08 to tie the game up 1-1. Ben Ratner scored at 8:18 to give Wisconsin a 2-1 lead. Assists were credited to Connor Boscaccy and Austin Lewis.

New Ulm started the third period trailing Wisconsin 2-1. Jacob Padley, assisted by Fritz Belisle and Max Kjome, scored at 8:54 into the third period to tie the game up 2-2 and ultimately force the game into overtime.

Brady Boudreau recorded his first NA3HL win in net for New Ulm. Boudreau made 22 saves on the 24 shots he faced.  

New Ulm generated 45 shots on goal. Wisconsin’s goaltender, Elliot Gerth, made 42 saves on New Ulm.
