New Ulm suffered a disappointing, 7-1, loss to Breezy Point. Breezy Point outshot New Ulm 46-26.

Tim O’Connor scored New Ulm’s only goal with 1:25 remaining in the third period. Jacob Padley was credited with the assist.

Nick Blanchette and Kass Dvorak each netted two goals for Breezy Point. Christian Lenzmeier, AJ Hoyt, and Ryan Higgins scored one goal each. Nikolas Boyer and Christian Lenzmeier each registered two assists. Austin Langworthy, Jarrett Green, Alex Flicek, Tyler Larwood, Magnus Lindhe, Cyril Nagurski, Drake Hill, AJ Hoyt and Nick Blanchette contributed one assist each.

Nathan Siclovan made a lofty 39 saves for New Ulm. Breezy Point’s goaltender, Magnus Lindhe, made 25 saves.

A line brawl broke out at 17:36 into the second period with New Ulm down 5-0. Stephan Hermkes, Fritz Belisle, Vincent Billing and Benji Mickel were penalized for New Ulm. Tyler Larwood, Tristyn Sabina and Andrew Heckaman were penalized for Breezy Point. New Ulm went 1-for-4 on the power play and Breezy Point went 3-for-6.
