North Iowa was leading New Ulm 7-2 at the start of the third period. New Ulm scored two goals in the third period to make the final score 7-4. Shots were 39-22 in favor of the Bulls.

Jared Erickson scored the first goal for New Ulm at 9:36 into the second period with an assist from Jacob Padley.

Vincent Billing scored two of New Ulm’s four goals. Billing, assisted by Orlando Scherz and Luc Kreuser, scored his first goal of the game at 13:33 into the second period. Billing’s second goal was scored at 1:55 into the third period with assists from Max Kjome and Luc Kreuser.

New Ulm’s final goal of the game was scored by Jacob Padley at 15:47 into the third period. Sam Wenner and Tim O’Connor were credited with the assists.

Sean Mallonee scored two goals for North Iowa. Zach Hayes, David Dolter, Josh Arnold, Connor Clemons and Tim Kuivinen scored one goal each. Steve Mordini registered three assists for North Iowa. Mitch Parsons and Marshall Barnes each got two assists. Jason Miner, Zach Hayes, Eric Piatt, Kristian Kause and Connor Clemons registered one assist each.

Jon Albers played just over 23 minutes and made 10 saves on 14 shots. Nathan Siclovan replaced Albers in net at 3:05 into the second period with New Ulm down 4-0. Siclovan made 22 saves on the 25 shots he faced. North Iowa’s goaltender, Brady Meyers, made 18 saves on the 22 shots New Ulm generated.

New Ulm and North Iowa each had a total of 33 penalty minutes on six infractions. New Ulm went 0-for-3 on the power play and North Iowa went 0-for-4.
