New Ulm generated 45 shots on goal and went on a goal scoring frenzy against Roc City with nine different players registering points in the, 8-1, win.

Jared Erickson opened the scoring 14 seconds into the first period. Mac Hankinson and Sam Wenner were credited with the assists. Luc Kreuser scored at 3:42 into the first period on the power play to give New Ulm an early two goal lead.

Roc City’s Brandon Corey, with an assist from Zach Buchholz, scored at 18:37 into the first period to cut New Ulm’s lead to 2-1.

Cory Martinez scored at 1:01 into the second period to put New Ulm up 3-1. The assists were credited to Sam Wenner and Jared Erickson. New Ulm got a three goal lead at 2:43 into the second period with a goal from Dylan Leivermann on the power play, assisted by Vincent Billing and Jacob Padley. Jacob Padley scored the third goal of the second period at 13:42 with assists from Vincent Billing and Dylan Leivermann.

New Ulm started the third period with a 5-1 lead over Roc City. Cory Martinez, Luc Kreuser and Alex Egle each scored one goal in the third period. Vincent Billing, Sam Storlie, Jared Erickson and Sam Wenner each registered one assist in the third period.

Brady Boudreau only let one puck get past him for New Ulm. Roc City’s goaltender, Nicholas Sesock, made 37 saves on the 45 shots he faced.

New Ulm had a total of six penalty minutes on three infractions and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Roc City totaled eight penalty minutes on four infractions and went 0-for-3 on the power play.
