The New Ulm Steel swamped the Wausau RiverWolves with 67 shots on goal and managed to get 10 into the back of the net, including two shorthanded and two power-play goals. Jarrett Cammarata had a five-point night, with three goals and two assists.

Alex Nagel contributed with one goal and three assists. Hunter Johnson and Zach Heiser each scored one goal and added two assists.

Bayler Kraus, Mason Trowbridge, Ryan Smith and Luc Kreuser each netted one goal. Ryan Kenny faced 32 shots and made 30 saves for New Ulm.

Wausau’s two goals were scored by Sean Johnston and Matt Irwin. Wausau’s starting goaltender, Henry Baribeau, stopped 40 of the 48 shots he faced. Baribeau was replaced in net by Jackson Fazendin at the 7:44 mark of the third period. Fazendin faced 19 shots in the final 12 minutes of the game and made 17 saves.

New Ulm and Wausau both totaled six penalty minutes on three infractions. New Ulm went 2-for-3 on the power play and Wausau went 0-for-3.
