After a 6-4 loss the previous night, the New Ulm Steel dropped another one to the Rochester Grizzlies, who are on a 10-game win streak, Saturday night at the New Ulm Civic Center. The game play was fairly even, but New Ulm was having a tough time getting a puck past Rochester’s goaltender, Liam Kelly, and capitalizing on their five power play opportunities.

Sam Ayd scored the lone goal for New Ulm in the first period at 16:44, with assists from Brian Oare and Carson Sandwick.

Richard Szabo scored two of the five goals for Rochester. Kory Potach, Vladislav Sorokin and Joey Fodstad netted one goal each.

Henry Baribeau stopped 27 of the 32 shots he faced for New Ulm. Kelly faced 28 shots and made 27 saves for Rochester.

New Ulm totaled 26 penalty minutes on 4 infractions and went 0-for-5 on the power play. Rochester had a total of 12 penalty minutes on six infractions and went 2-for-3 on the power play.
