The New Ulm Steel is happy to announce that Jordan Cooper has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Lawrence University.

“I look forward to becoming a student athlete at Lawrence University in the fall,” Cooper said.

Cooper, a native of Cary, North Carolina, played with the Steel for one season where he tallied 13 goals and 20 assists in 46 games played.

“I can’t thank my teammates and the rest of the Steel organization enough for allowing me to be a part of the Steel family my last year of junior hockey. I’ll never forget my time in New Ulm and all the amazing people I’ve met,” Cooper said.

Prior to his time with the Steel, Cooper spent two seasons with the NA3HL’s Willmar WarHawks. There he played in a total of 83 games, scored 25 goals and tallied 24 assists.
